Question

I have an RAX29 router and a 1st generation Amazon Echo.&nbsp; The Echo will not connect to the router.&nbsp; Researching the issue turned up that the 1st gen Echo does not like dual band routers.&nbsp; The fix is to disable 5G connect the Echo and re-enable 5G on the router.&nbsp; When I log into the router and enter advanced setting, the 2.5 and 5G are listed together and cannot be disabled separately.&nbsp; Is there a way to separate them to temporarily to fix this.

Should be able to disable Smart Connect on the Routers web page using a web browser. Basic tab/Wireless settings.&nbsp;

I've never had issues with my 1st gen echo and connecting to any of my nighthawks or orbi's.&nbsp;
But you can disable smart connect so you can separate out the ssid's, program the alexa, and then re-enable it.&nbsp;
