Apple services suddenly not working with RAX80
Sometime as of the past week or two, no Apple device connected to my wifi is able to stream data. That means, Apple Music does not work, nor does Apple TV, software updates, App Store downloads, etc. The best I can figure is that Apple changed something involving security that Netgear has neglected to roll out in a firmware update, leaving me somewhat out of luck.
I'm not really sure who I should be more pissed at, at this point. Would be nice if anyone here has any clue as to what one can do, if anything can be done at all besides buy a different router. This thing is barely 3 years old and was certainly not the cheapest, so I expected better.
What happens if you set WPA2 and AES only on the router?
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...

Apple is famous for changing things and not telling anyone else in the industry what it has done. That makes it hard for Netgear, and anyone else, to produce "forward compatible" devices. And the market for crystal balls is a mug's game.
Have you approached Apple for help?

I tried the disabling private IP and so-on as per the link you sent, but that didn't solve the issue. I should add that the official Apple Music app on Windows 10 also has this issue, so I suspect whatever "security changes" they implemented are also present there. Using Cider or any other web-based Apple Music interface works though (but with worse audio quality).
Apple basically said I need to update the router. I can't blame them on that front, it is clearly a router issue, but I am using the current firmware version so...yeah, not sure what to do.
What iOS is on the Apple devices?
What FW version is actually loaded on the RAX router?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What channels is the router using? Try 1 and 40 or 11 and 48.
What security modes is the router using? WPA2 and AES is recommended...
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
