AX5400 WiFi 6 Router with A7000 adapter
Today I updated my internet to 500/500 fiber internet.
The interesting thing is that I used nighthawk app to check speed and it is totally fine. however, I use my PC with A7000 night hawk adapter to test my internet speed is only 100/100. I updated the software and check everything is fine. does anyone knows waht's going on with my A7000? is it capped?
and one more thing
I am not clear why I use other speedtest app from App store and the wifispeed is under 100?

when you test through the netgear app, it hosts the test on the router.
when use test on the speedtest app, its hosting on the device you're testing on which means its also testing the wireless signal/strength.
So if you're computer is further away from the router, has interference, testing on the wrong channel (2.4ghz is slow), then you're speeds are going to be lower.
SO it means there is no way to get 500/500 using wifi?
I didn't say that. but there are a lot of variables that impact wireless speeds.
If you're computer is next to the router, there's not much for interference, then you might hit those speeds.
in terms of wireless, 2.4ghz is slow. If its hitting 100mbps, its doing great. 5ghz is the faster network by far. Some devices will hit 500+mbps. But 5ghz signal/speeds drop off faster than 2.4ghz does. And its more sensitive to obstructions like walls/furniture/etc.
How far from the router is the computer?
What are the interior walls made of? (and how many are there)
