AX6600 router and want to connect 2 ethernet cables to 2 different computers

I want to connect 2 of my computer towers to the one router, but only one will work.

Any suggestions how to get both of them connected?

thanks,

  • What model# router do you have? RAX###?

Check ethernet connections and configurations on PCs. Update ethernet drivers on the PCs.

    CAT6 LAN cable is recommended.

Check LAN ports in back of the router, try all LAN ports.

    Tell us more.

As well as details of the Netgear router, the model number, how are you trying to connect these PCs? Wired to the Ethernet ports on the router?

What happens on the tower that won't connect? Any error messages?

The more detail you can provide, the quicker we can offer suggestions.

The model is AX6600  and it is in the subject line.  I want to connect 2 ethernet cables to 2 computers.

One connects but the other does not
