Connected Device Limit (RAX10)

Hi, stupid me didn't realise this router had a limit of 20 connected devices, I've got almost double that. Is there a simple, inexpensive way to extend it's capacity for Wi-Fi connected devices? Thanks

Thanks, but I believe devices connected via an extender still contribute to the count.

Sounds like cobblers doesn't it, maybe I'm not so stupid for not checking 😀 But definitely in the specs. Firmware is up to date but doesn't resolve issue. I connect all devices and some struggle to get an IP, others drop on and off network. I disconnect some devices and all good 😐

        Yes. But which specs.

The data sheet appears to disagree with the manual. And Netgear's documentation seems to have a lot of boilperplate text that gets copies between models and then doesn't get updated to reflect firmware changes.

I'd troubleshoot that. But with so little details to go on, who know what is happening?

Check the logs for clues as to what is going on.

        Try things like Address Reservations.

If this is the RAX10 specification, I'd have expected it to have surfaced here before now.

Search - NETGEAR Communities – RAX10 connected devices

        Hardly a rush of messages.

Here's one message that disagrees with the data sheet:

I recognize the product data sheet indicates a limit of 20 devices.  Screen snip attached.  An extender is not going to help.

Have you actually run up against that 20 device limit?  Make sure your configuration provides a DHCP address pool of sufficient size.

It may no longer be limited to 20 if you have installed the current firmware version.
