ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT RAX70
Heloo all,
After researching here and trying some solutions, I've resulted to posting.
W11
firmware: V1.0.15.146
IP6 is enabled
ISP auto
I've been having this issue of some websites timing out. I do have to say I had this happen several times before and after pulling hair often gave up and changed/bought new routers, then 6 months later same issue. This last issue I purchased the RAX70, hoping resolve would follow, well here we go again.
I have everything stock. I also recently upgraded my modem (Netgear CM3000), the last one just gave me too many issues on a daily basis of connectivity, reset reset every day, gone now.
So back to my issues:
These "timed out" websites happen to be on a dedicated server, all 5 of them. I can get to anything else just except anything on the server, except for a time when I had one website going thru cloudflare.
On the iphone, or LTE I can see the sites, I also have wireless setup on the PC and when I enable hotspot of the cellphone I can get the sites, BUT lately they have been disconnecting after several minutes. I just recently opened iPad and with just LET was able to tget to server login, and update some plug ins, then when checked websites, connecting went array, and couldn't connect anymore.
I checked the community and tried resetting dns at the router, and network settings but didnt seem to help.
no clue what to do now, dont want to buy another router. This is the server ping:
ping 51.81.221.52

W11? Windows 11?
Same thing happen if you disable IPv6?
When IPv6 are you using auto detected IPv6 DNS or custom IPv6 DNS?
What ISP AUTO?What ISP are you connected with?
Does using ISP auto detected DNS exhibit same condition?
Try using Cloudfare, or Google or Quad 9 DNS as a custom DNS setting on the router.
Does this happen with all devices connected to the router?
Directly connect to the CM modem to see if a wired PC gets same problem or not?

- IPv6, I had disabled, turned it on in hopes that was issue, no luck. Used both auto and after reading a similar post, used manually goodle dns 8888, 2001xx, etc
What ISP AUTO?What ISP are you connected with?
- Auto ISP yes, using COX, DNS is auto

- Yes, same issue. Yes tried using google dns manual settings, per another post but same issue, all devices using wifi
Directly connect to the CM modem to see if a wired PC gets same problem or not?
- Direct connected to modem via ethernet to computer and problem goes away.
Try a factory reset and setup from scratch on the RAX router using a wired PC and web browser.
