Help looking for compatible power adapter but with longer cable for Nighthawk AX5400
I'm trying to find a power adapter for this specific model but with a much longer cable. The room that I want to move the router to has an outlet that turns off from a switch on the wall so I don't want anyone touching the switch and accidentally turning off the router, so I'm looking for a power adapter with a very long cable, if they even exist.

They don't. Best option is to get a power extension cable that goes from the wall outlet to the power adapter. Those come in many lengths and colors.
I won't be able to use that unfortunately. I currently have the router connected to a surge protector, which is why I wanted to see if there was an adapter but that comes with a much longer cord length.
Then get a extension cord that will plug in to the surge protector. They come in many length, colors and can be connected to any wall outlet or surge protector, etc.
you can also get 12v power extensions. I've seen them on amazon. but you have to be careful as you're going to get power drop with using an extension on the 12v side if you go to far.
You won't have to worry about any power drop on the 110v power side of the adapter by putting an extension cable here to the wall outlet or surge protector.
but how will you connect it to a modem?
I'm gonna run a long ethernet cable from the modem to the router. I actually just ordered it right now so I hope it arrives today. I already got it planned out how I'm gonna wire it.
