Netgear AX1800 not blocking
I have a Netgear AX1800 WiFi Router RAX10.
I cannot block any websites. When I inquired, I was told to use the app. I do not want parental controls, I want to be able to block sites. Every router I've ever had allows me to do this with no problem.
If the router cannot do this without using parental controls through an app, then advise on a router that can.
Thanks
OpenDNS did the job.
Thanks all

- microchip8Masterif you're trying to block HTTPS sites, that won't work due to encryption.

Blocking these works fine by adding them to my Windows/HOSTS file. That's good for my computer, but doesn't help other router clients.
Thanks for your reply

From what microchip8 says, you may be asking the impossible thanks to the rise of https.
Depending on what you want t achieve, there may be other network alternatives other than parental controls.
- microchip8MasterBlock sites at DNS level. NextDNS is a very good alternative to router blocking.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
