Netgear RAX120 Issues

I know that there has been many discussions about the issue I may refer to but this is what I am experiencing. For the longest my router was working fine.

Recently, I am having issues with devices not being able to connect to the wifi networks on the router specially with the 2.4 GHz band. Sometimes the devices do not connect at all. I have performed a factory reset, an older firmware, and all the wifi settings you can possibly imagine and still nothing. Also it is affecting users that were able to connect far away from the router and now need to be closer to the router.

I have also noticed that the speeds go up and down. My ISP has been pretty stable but the wifi speeds drop to nothing and you have to turn off wifi and turn it back on to get it working normally again. The router is in the same place it was when I first installed it and it was amazing in the beginning.

Can someone please help or point me in the right direction?

    Hello Rock31482,

Welcome to the community! May you send me a private message with your serial number and the current firmware version you have installed on the router.

    Thanks,

Well yesterday, I had enough I went to the router and decided to reset it from the physical router itself. I then configured it again and it looks like it is working now but I have a feeling that theissues may start again.

Thanks for the update on the thread and glad to hear that everything seems to be working now. I've edited your comment and removed your router's serial number from being displayed publicly.

  • Do you have anything pluged into the USB ports? If so, unplug it.
