Netgear RAX120V2 NANC

Hi,

Had Beta firmware 1.2.8.43-RC on my RAX120V2. Now I rolled back to 1.2.8.40. Main Reason for roll back was Temperature was showing NANC and auto fan wasn't working.

After rolling back (without reset) temp still shows as NANC.

What am I doing wrong ?

  • Not seeing this on my RAX120v2 on v.52 FW:

There is no AUTO FAN. You can enabled it for being always ON but I believe this setting doesn't persist thru a power cycle or reboot of the router.

MS Edge is browser I use.

  • Factory reset and setup from scratch. Should clear our any lingering bad code. I believe NG disabling some of the debug items in the beta FW to help test for this reboot issue that was seen on v.40 FW. I would presume all this would be corrected and fixed in next official FW release.

Something to help with the internal fan, Install a laptop cooler fan under the router for 24/7 cooling.

      Thanks for fast response.

When is full release expected of v43 firmware ?

And will Restore settings via cfg work or should I manually enter all configs ?

No idea and version may not be v.43

Manually setup from scratch then save off a new backup.

  • It unbelievable that it take more than a year for Netgear to fix a bug for a $300 router, and it still not done yet.
