Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5400 and Starlink

I am trying to replace an original Starlink router with a Nighthawk AX5400 router.  I have the original Starlink router with Ethernet and no bridging. I thought I could just replace the Starlink box with the Nighthawk.  I used the Ethernet cable coming from the Starlink dish/ppoe box and connected it to the yellow WAN port on the Nightnwak.  Using the Nighthawk app to set up the router it sees the cable connected, but does not see the Starlink Internet,

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I did look at existing topics and they all appear to be focused on the newer routers that can be put into Brugge mode and  need the Ethernet adapter.

Starlink has its ways of doing things. A quick search around here might be useful.

Search - NETGEAR Communities – Starlink

As to the AX5400, which one? RAX##? RBK###?

AX5400 is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.

With that information you can refine the search linked above.

As I mentioned in my original post I did search here before I posted. The threads I found all seemed to relate to the newer version of the Starink router which will bridge and require the Ethernet adapter.  My Starlink router is the older version and does not bridge.

      Nighthawk is an RAX54V2.

That article mentions the newer router that has bypass and uses the Ethernet adapter.  I have the earlier Starlink router.

Something you can still try. Or make contact with the ISP so they can help you out. Ask about a newer version of there router system.
