no more access to the configuration address

Hello,

Yesterday I wanted to configure my RAX70 in AP ethernet mode to put an orange decoder behind my router. So I have two orange decoders in ethernet behind the router that work.

I wanted to put one in wifi (simpler). So I reconfigured the AP and wifi mode.

Since then I no longer have access to the configuration of my router, and I do not know how to get out of it (a mac is used to configure it, it is in wifi on the router), with the iphone app too little configuration.

the address I was using no longer works, routerlogin.net falls on the website, http://192.168.1.1 falls on my orange box,

Mac-mini-de-Patrick:~ patrick$ ifconfig |grep inet
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128
inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
inet6 fe80::1042:d28b:3429:99b8%en1 prefixlen 64 secured scopeid 0x5
inet 192.168.1.24 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
inet6 2a01:cb19:888:7f00:8d:684b:6b0d:61c6 prefixlen 64 autoconf secured
inet6 2a01:cb19:888:7f00:3da1:8d7a:e9b4:c4d1 prefixlen 64 autoconf temporary
inet6 fe80::a84e:e7ff:fe7c:88ce%awdl0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xa
inet6 fe80::1012:aecc:9b8d:f66b%utun0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xb
inet6 fe80::86e2:24d3:56e5:aac2%utun1 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xc
Mac-mini-by-Patrick:~ patrick$

192.168.1.255 doesn't give anything, I don't understand anything anymore, help me 🙂 thanks

the ios app works, but it's too simple to configure

    What is an "orange decoder"? Google suggests something in the way of a TV box. Maybe a satellite gadget? Is it also a router?

    If not, what acts as a router when the RAX70 is in AP mode?

    When adding things "behind" a router  -- which usually means after the router connects you to the Internet --  it is more normal to leave the router alone and to configure those devices to work with the router.

    As I don't understand what is doing what on your network, I don't now how putting the RAX70 into AP mode simplifies things. Indeed, I'm not sure what you mean by simplifies things. If you want to reduce the number of WiFi sources, then you can just turn off the WiFi from the RAX70 even if it is still working at the router.

    When the router is in AP mode, it picks up its IP address from whatever is now acting as the router. You need to look at the router's list if attached devices to see what IP address it has assigned to the AP. Or you can look at its WiFi network and check what the IP address is of that.

    I've made a lot of assumptions here based on not knowing what is happening at your end. So all this may be rubbish. If so, an explanation of what is where and what you really want to achieve might help someone to come up with more sensible answers.

      Thank you very much for trying to understand my problem.

      Orange decodeur  is  tv box in france , it needs to be connected directly to the Livebox (french modem to be connected to internet).  This tv box must be in the same LAN as the operator's orange modem, but my netgear changes the LAN, so I put my netgear in access point mode to keep the original LAN, and it works well for two decoders tv box .

      sorry, I hope it's easier to understand now?

        What is the modem? If that is also your router, then it makes sense to put the RAX70 into AP mode.

        If you do that, then you can put the RAX70 between the modem/router and the decoders?

        Then the modem/router handles all the addresses.

        Then you can follow the suggestion I made earlier. Look at the controls for the modem/router. It should have a list of "Attached Devices". One of them will be the RAX70.

        Feed that IP address into a browser and you should get the controls for the RAX70.

        If the RAX70 is in AP mode you hit this:

        Disabled Features on the Router when set to AP Mode | Answer | NETGEAR Support

        If that loses controls that are important to you, you have other options.
