Power Outage or Flicker

Nighthawk axe 7800-tri band
After every power outage or flicker, my router does not reconnect to the modem even when the modem has internet back. This is very frustrating as every time I have to unplug power to both, connect my modem first then connect my router. Please tell me there’s another way or magical setting! Thank you!

    Which router? Which modem?

I can't find an "axe 7800" model in the Netgear catalogue. R7800? Yes. But that uses AC2600 WiFi technology.

I saw that sort of behaviour when I had a modem/router working in modem only (bridge) mode in front of a proper router, an R7800, by coincidence.

It happened because the modem took so long to reconnect that by the time it got there the router had given up waiting and timed out. My answer was to get a modem only modem and to bin the modem/router.

The router is a netgear nighthawk axe 7800 triband wifi 6e. The modem is a spectrum et2251. I have a tp-link ac1750 that reconnects on its own after a power loss. We upgraded to this expense nighthawk and it’s been a pain.

Try looking at the label on the bottom.

        Model number label

Not connected at the same time as the anonymous Nighthawk I hope.
