Problems setting up ReadySHARE with Password

 FURRYe38, Thanks for responding.  I think part of my problem is the lack of clarity in the manual's instructions.  My router admin password is long and complicated.  I'm a retired IT tech and don't use simple, easily hacked passwords like my cat's name.  If ReadyShare requires a very simple password to work that's a deal breaker for me.  Honestly, it's my position that any password that works for admin should work for any router function like ReadyShare.  It's disappointing if this isn't true and it would be the second example of Netgear vaporware.  The first I encountered was the Block Sites function that only works for http and won't work for https addresses.  Since almost all websites have embraced https now Block Sites is worthless.  That said, I'm perfectly capable of making a configuration error and I'm actually prone to thinking that's my problem here.  Have you ever configured ReadyShare with a password successfully?  Is ReadyShare another rarely used function that few have used/had success with?

FURRYe38, further update on ReadySHARE, after ranting about ReadySHARE possibly not accepting a complex admin password that did work for logging in to the router as admin I experimented with changing the admin pw to 10 characters, LC, UC & numbers but NO complex characters.  This resolved the issue and I can now successfully map a drive to ReadySHARE.  Still disappointed that I had to truncate my original admin pw but I'll live with it.  I think I saw mention in another string that ReadySHARE is being phased out by Netgear.  If true that's disappointing as I don't want to layout the bucks for a NAS.  Thanks for the fix!
