RAX120 won’t connect to modem

My nighthawk rax120 has been an issue for quite a while now and between work and family stuff just haven’t gotten around to asking for support. It is currently unable to connect via Ethernet to my modem. I’ve replaced cat 5 cables tried them with other routers and found no issues any where else in my setup. I can only assume it’s an hardware/firmware problem with the RAX120. Is there a way I can flash new firmware via Usb drive to see if that’s the issue or is it time to give up and move on?

  • You can manually update firmware.

    What firmware are you on?

What modem is it connected to?

I’m on firmware v 1.0.1.90 and the modem is an arris of some sort. My old nighthawk x8 is connected to it fine at the moment so I’m sure it’s not the Ethernet cable or the modem

        Which arris?

Again, you can manually update the firmware. And the firmware your currently on isn't even on the previous firmware list. Meaning it was probably pulled for some reason or another.

so download the firmware, extract it, then follow the manual firmware install process and use the firmware you downloaded.
