RAX20 readyshare - intermittent speed dropped

Hi,

I have purchased RAX20 and using the Readyshare with my external HDD

 1. Macshare (Readshare) symption description when using Macbook Pro over 5GHz Wi-Fi

When I am playing MP4 file from the Readyshare via VLC, I find the transfer rate will drop to 0 after 10 ~ 20 mins.

That will cause the player hangs for 20~30 seconds, the streaming experience is not smooth.

I have tried using the "Wireless Analysis" from Mac, it seems that is not the problem on the Mac Wi-Fi side.

I have increased the VLC output buffer, but it does not help the situation.

 2. Samba (Readyshare) symptiom description

When I am connecting the Readyshare to my iPad, the drop of transfer is obvious.

Would like to check any suggestion?

Thanks and regards,

Fred

      Hi,

        Thanks.

Even the support has contacted, there is still no solution.

The support has told me to update to the latest firmware but my router has the said version already.

Besides, I have tested using LAN cable to test. The symptom is still there.

It seems that is the problem of readyshare.

      Thanks and regards,

      Fred
