There’s a couple different ways to do so but I do find the most efficient one for me is to port forward. I’ll always have open NAT and usually I end up the host of the game. It’s not very complicated but you’ll need a static IP set for your console & then get the ports needed for the game. Assuming it’s call of duty a google search of “ports for call of duty” will bring up the ones needed. If you don’t know how to there’s a few YouTube videos to reference. A user friendly way also would to make sure UPNP is on and Nat Filtering is set to Open. The reason I don’t do it this way is becuase this model seems to have a **bleep** upnp work up.

Has this issue been resolved?
I am looking at buying the RAX200 but I have 3 Xbox's in my home and want to know that I will have no issues getting an open NAT on all consoles.
I currently have the R7000 and have not had any issues gaming with an open NAT on all 3 consoles all the time. If the RAX200 is unable to do this then I definitely would have to look at a different device to upgrade to.
Any help would be appreciated.
- axtriomJun 16, 2021AspirantUnfortunately it hasn’t been resolved and probably won’t be. Netgear doesn’t seem to care that this is a constant issue with their products. The R7000 seems to be the only router we’ve seen that can actually get open NAT for multiple consoles in one household so if that’s what you’re looking for stay with the R7000. The issue comes from IP Addresses only able to use one port at a time and until we’re merged to IPv6 we’ll continue to deal with NAT issues.
- Cabledogs420Jun 16, 2021GuideAs stated above they definitely can’t figure out how to fix it. If ur 7000 is working good just leave it alone. However if ur having issues or looking for better speed. I would order one from Amazon and maybe the asus model try them both see which works better and return the other one. I ended up with raxe500 as trial and was allowed to keep it. This seems to be working better for gaming but honestly the 6ghz network is a joke and my wife ran better with the high and low 5mhz so there seems to be to many trade offs so honestly gonna be trial by error for most people. Just said how far Netgear has fallen they were def on right direction with 7000 7500 but has since went backwards in my opinion. I wish I could give you better option. If you have Ipv 6 from your provider that may help a bit as mine only offers ipv4 with fiber.
