Recently updated the firmware, and it started dropping the wifi connections. At first, it was working for 30min-2hours, I was rebooting the router very often, I did reset few times as well. Now it is dead. It has all the LED green lights, sending a faulse signal to iphones, looks like there is internet connection, but no page loading. I cannot connect with the ethernet cable to any device. Modem is working fine. I am using the ethernet cable from the modem to devices to make it to work. Sadly, complimentary support sevice was over after 90 days, although I purchased in December'2019, six months ago, it looks like I have to purchase their support service to resolve the issue. I did not expect from Netgear. Very disappointed. They don't stand behind their products.

What modem are you using?
Did you try downgrading the firmware?

of,
Thanks for replying. I am using Netgear CM700 modem. The LED for internet connection to modem and the router is amber. I used the Netgear app to update the firmware of the router, it failed.I downloaded tftp2.exe. latest firmware(unzipped), used Ethernet cable to connect to the router from PC and tried to update, it failed. I connected the Ethernet cable from the PC to the output of the router (not the input/colored one) during the update.
Lots of things can go wrong using tftp. Maybe a descrption of where in the process its failing?
also, are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

the new firmware is flawed. after i upgraded it, my wifi drops every couple hours. i reverted back to the old firmware. DO NOT USE THE NEW FIRMWARE. STUPID NETGEAR they didn't test their crap
I was having the same problem. Could not figure it out. Then I noticed my phone was only showing NETGEAR24-5G for the wifi channel no NETGEAR24. I logged into the router aqnd checked the wireless names and both the 2.4G and 5G were both labeled as NETGEAR24. I managed to get the 5G to change to NETGEAR24-5G and it seems to work now. Hope it stays this way.
- MjnightAspirantHow do you revert to old firmware?

Mjnight - Refer to the article linked below and on step 5, you may select previous firmware versions to revert back to manually.
