RAX43 N71 AX 4200 wireless router

Have the above wireless router.  Worked fine for 6 months then can't connect with the 5G band.  Is the first step to reset/reboot the router.  Then reboot both the cable modem and then the router.  Your thoughts please.  ctludwig@mindspring.com  thanks

If you're using smart connect, 5ghz won't show up as a separate network. The router only has the 1 ssid displayed and it bandsteers devices between 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

If you want them to appear separate, you need to disable smart connect. This also lets you choose which network to connect to instead of letting bandsteering handle it.
