rax70 will not allow custom port
I cannot connect by remote desktop on my local gigabitcopper lan. no ports are visible locally, I cannot ping locally. How do I open up all ports on the local lan? I tried adding 3389 as as a custom port, but It will not allow that. any suggestions? In addition the discussion model entry (above) does not allow my model: RAX70.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk RAX WiFi 6 Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NH router products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

First step is also allowing remote desktop on your other computers: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/remote-desktop-allow-access
What security software is locally installed? That can also block ICMP. So it can be necessary that you need to open port 3389 (remote desktop) and ICMP in your local firewall. Did you change the firewall settings on your router?
