expressvpn literally has a site with what routers they support.

There are dozens of VPNs out there. Netgear can't test them all.
The best people to ask which devices support a VPN system are the suppliers.
So, talk to ExpressVPN

Might be a good idea for Netgear to create a KnowledgeBase article on VPNs with links to some of the better known services.
