PM's broken in new forum software
The envelope icon takes me to my inbox. From there, no way to reply to a message or start a new one. How does one send a PM with the new software?

I was able to make an edit, so the permissions should now give you the ability to start a new conversation and reply. Can you please take a look and let me know?

Agree, can neither find a way to create a new message, nor an ability to replay, top. Also, previously sent PMs are somehow gone, too

Your Sent PMs should still be there. If you take a look at the Inbox label, you'll notice a down arrow where you can toggle between the inbox and sent items.
Can you confirm this to be true for you?

Sorry Christine, you miss the point here, pls read the OPs message carefully again:
We can neither create -new- PM nor -reply- to messages.
Okay, the Reply option of course exists, similar to the community treads.
For creating new PMs over does have to use the Stencil icon top right - very different to the common Email platform WebUIs.

Ok. A simple quote (or multiple quotes are not easy possible. Not interested in using the " quote button and copy-paste each section manually.

Yes, it now is working. But there seems to be one other issue with this software in that somebody other than the original poster can mark a reply as a solution. This was marked as a solution before I ever saw it.
Different issue. "Status" links at the top tell me that I have one unread message.
Click to there and I see no "New" message unless I jump through hoops.
Previously, it went straight to anything unread. Maybe the sort overrides that flag.
I found a message from two years ago that I had ignored. The old message did not show as a "New" message.
