The problem is more than likely related to the httpS 

The secure site's address is encrypted and won't block. it makes the site blocking feature a bit pointless and you'll see a ton of posts on the forums about it.

It is anybody's guess as to what you did on your modem/router.

 

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
