adding a secondary modem router as a hotspot wirelessly connected to a primary modem router
adding a secondary modem router as a hotspot wirelessly connected to a primary modem router
I would like to know if it is possible to configure the following.
I have researched this and tried it several times but keep hitting a brick wall so I am not sure if its that I am missing a setting/configuration or what.
Primary cable modem router connected to Xfinity via coax = C6300v2
Secondary cable modem router = C6230
I would like to use the secondary router (C6230) as a hot spot on the opposite end of the house and connect it wirelessly to the main router (C6300v2)
Is this possible? If so, how?

No. You didn't describe it the best.
You can have 2 modems from your isp but then you're paying for 2 internet services.
And neither of those devices is that high of performing.
I guess the real question is what are you trying to do?
Better coverage?
WAN failover? Load balancing?

It won't work.
Basic cable modem/routers like the C6300v2 and C6230 do not have the flexibility of routers or DSL modem/routers.
You cannot use a cable modem/router as a wireless access point wired to another router.
You cannot use a cable modem/router as a "wireless bridge" that repeats the wifi from one router and shares it with other devices.
Manuals are always a good place to start.
