buffalonas and Ntetgear C3700

I have a Buffalonas drive and Netgear C3700 router.  I can see the Buffalo drive while on my WiFi but when tring to access it from another WiFi no go.  Try port forwarding and UPnP.  Any ideas?  I am a newby to networking and will need extra simply explanation on how and what to do.

    You may need to search buffalos site on what needs to be done in order to remote access that drive I think you are on the right track with port forwarding.
