I couldn't find this exact problem after searching the community. I have a C7000 modem/router installed about 2 months ago. I have three devices hardwired to it, and run a wifi network for the rest of the house. Some days when we boot up our computers using wifi, two of them don't "fully" connect to the internet; some web sites are accessible but most say "cannot connect". The other computers and our phones show no problem; and the hard wired devices are fine. The only fix I can find is to reboot the C7000 by unplugging then plugging it back in. As an extra check, I did contact Spectrum to make sure there was nothing odd going on on their side and they showed no issues. Any thoughts? Thanks! I have successfully set up my modem for a while now and have no issues using the Android app to manage the Router locally. However, I recently logged into the local web interface to turn on the remote access functions of the router to manage while away. It shows that was successful. I screen copied the IP and port info from the web interface but it will still not communicate with the router outside of the local network. I have tried several different browsers to access it and the Android app doesn't show any choice for remote management. Any pointers you can offer out there? I purchased the CM3000 a few weeks ago when my Comcast speeds were increased to 2000 Mbps. After 2 tech visits from Comcast my speeds from the modem do not exceed 800 or so Mbps even though they tested the line directly and the speeds are double that (1662 Mbps when tested today directly from the coaxial cable by the technician). I am using a CAT 8 cable and have tried all the trouble shooting I can find. Any suggestions on how to achieve the better speeds? Thank you.2.2KViews1like9Comments4 numbers are the only LED's that light up after 10 months, support no help
Have used this router for the last 10-12 months and it went out today. Looking at the router, only the 4 numbers are lit and no other LED's. I have tried a factory reset and nothing happens on the device. I saw other posts with this issue but haven't found a resolution yet. Going to try to find another power supply and test that. I have also tried contacting support and was met with an out of warranty reply and that I could create a ticket for a small fee of 99.99 a year. Unbelievable, 3 month warranty for support? What a joke. You bet your behind I'll be buying a router from another company if I can't get it working. This is more of a vent than anything, unless someone knows of a possible fix. Thanks!1.1KViews0likes5CommentsCAX30 Poor Cable Connection (Downstream)
Does anyone know what would cause this difference on Channel 2? When I had a poor downstream connection last year I put the Attenuator (screenshot attached) on the cable that plugs directly into the CAX30 because my power levels were too high. That worked until now, and I noticed that Channel 2 looks like the channel id, frequency, power, etc. should be 0. Took the Attenuator off and it makes my power levels too high like the original problem last year. Anyone see this issue before or know off hand what could be causing this? I've been trying to copy the Cable Diagnostic info but I'm getting "refused to connect"Solved2.3KViews0likes4CommentsCable Modem Shut Down
After almost 3 years of flawless service, my CM2050V Cable Modem suddenly shut down in the middle of an important online meeting. The modem is well shielded and there were no apparent issues at the time. After checking everything else, I did a reset on the back of the modem, and it started working well again. Here's my question: Should I be worried that this will happen again? Investing in a new modem is not feasible for me right now, and I can't afford to have a backup just in case. Since I haven't experienced this before, I'd appreciate some input.1.8KViews0likes11CommentsComCast/XFinity Next Generation ISP FAQ

Hi there. I'm trying to login to my CM2500 modem using default password and the password stated in the hardware itself but I'm not able to. I was able to login before activating it with my ISP and during the activation process but once it was activated, I can no longer login. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I do have a small 6 port switch between the modem and the hard wired device in trying with. I can get to the login page on my devices (computer and cellphone) but unable to login. No error is shown, just goes back to login page after entering my password.983Views0likes2CommentsNighthawk cm2000 connected to spectrum router. Wifi is marking fair in bedroom where desktop is
I'm having issues with being able to receive good a good WiFi connection in my bedroom. I currently have a nighthawk cm2000 modem connected to a Spectrum router model (SAX2V1S). I do not have the biggest apartment so I'm wondering what could be causing this to have a poor connection? I have a buddy that just keeps mentioning to look for the best modem settings and to change them on my end. I have looked but have not found any answers to this. I am also not very knowledgeable when it comes to these things. It was suggested to implement a WiFi extender but i am curious to know if that is really needed. Any sort of help will be appreciated. I have provided an event log since it seems that's what a majority of people do. Firmware is V1.01.06.915Views0likes1Comment
