Buying a cable modem with voice for Comcast

I'm trying to buy a combo cable modem/ router with voice. Does the AC 1900 have the Puma 6 chip set?

    First, which cable modem/router are you looking at? See https://www.approvedmodems.com/do-not-buy-list.html, the Netgear  C6300 and Netgear CM700 both are, unless they've been updated.

     

    Secondly, Comcast probably doesn't allow customer owned eMTA modems (at least I know Spectrum does not) and I don't think Netgear makes any, much less in a modem combo.

    two devices that compatible with XFINITY VOICE are

     

     

    CM500V (Modem + Voice only)

    C7100V (Modem Router + WIFI + VOICE)

     

    If you already have a router, you can just get the CM500V.
