C3000 Wifi Drops at least once a day

Our c3000 is running with xfinity.

Every day, especially in the evenings, the wifi stops working. I know the Internet is still working as the hardwired stuff keeps working. This is problematic because it wakes the baby up when the signal to the dropcam fails and the lights start blinking.

Ive tried rebooting to factory settings multiple times, I've played with multiple settings. This is not acceptable. What can be done?

    Hello Anchorage42

Have you tried to change the wireless channels? also in the evenings is something connecting to the wifi that is not during the day?

      Hi guys,

I have the same setup with C3000 on Xfinity. My wifi drops off at least once a day, I have come to believe this is a firmware issue with these cable gateways. I had to reboot everytime and my speedtest is always above 15 Mbps with no connectivity issues.

I looked deeper into the logs of the router, it seems like whenever there's a time discrepency, the router tries to synchronize with ToD server, and this has always been the time where I get cut off.

      [Time synchronized with ToD server]1Sun Jul 24 09:27:43 20160.0.0.0:00.0.0.0:0

So this from above happened this morning at 9:27, but my router logs have been showing 1970 since last night, and once it sychronizes, I get cut off. Can someone confirm this statement or help troubleshoot?

  • Yes I've tried changing channels. Nothing different is connecting in the evenings that isn't during the day
