C3700 WiFi connection issue with nest protect
Has anyone been having difficulty in getting the Nest Smoke Detector to see the Wi-Fi network, using a C3700 modem/router? Other devices will recognize, and join, my WiFi network; the Nest "Protect" will not even see my netowrk.

Have you checked on the Nest community to see if others are having this issue with that product?
