C3700v2 WiFi Stuck

Bought the C3700v2 router/modem for my new small apartment. When I first started it up, the WiFi worked for maybe a minute and before I could finish setting up the router, it reset. Once finished with its reset, the WiFi no longer works. I can only connect via Ethernet cable. If I try to log into the router, I get the "website is online but isn't responding to connection attempts" error. Firewall is off, proxy is off, add-ons are disabled, I've reset TCP/IP and DNS, and reset the network and nothing.

But everytime I use the button on the bottom to reset the router, the same thing happens. WiFi works for a short period, then the modem/router resets itself and the WiFi won't work and I can't login to the router via webpage regardless of the fact internet is working via ethernet. I just want my WiFi to work and to not have to return this thing.

A couple things you can try.

    1. most people just push the reset button. You need to push and hold while its fully powered on for 7-10 seconds. Occassionally up to 30 seconds. the lights should change.

    2. Contact support. If you just bought this, it comes with 90 days of free support. Click on "mynetgear" at the top. Register an account and then the device. From there you can contact support and get assistance with setup.

Here's where you can get your install guides, troubleshooting, and the manual.
