C6300 5ghz wireless network disappears

This has happened a few times now.  I'll notice that my device (phone, tablet, or PC) is connected to 2.4G and that there is no 5G available.  These are devices that have connected in the past to 5G.  Each time I check the settings on routerlogin.net and it shows 5G as broadcasting and no devices connected to that band.  A reboot or SSID change does nothing, but if I change the channel and reboot, 5G is discoverable again.  I live in a group of townhomes, so there are quite a few other 2.4G broadcasts, but no 5G ones in range to interfere. I do have a Netgear extender (model EX6100) on the 3rd floor that I needed for the previous router and have left it since 5G signal degrades up there.  I've looked through the forum here and have seen similar issues, but mine appears to be reoccurring for some reason.  The router is about 5 months old and had no issues the first couple months as I could tell.  I fixed it today and the last time this occurred was about 10 days ago. Before that about a month, but I don't always notice when it happens since 2.4G is still working.  Firmware version: V2.01.18 and using Spectrum ISP.  Any suggestions or troubleshooting I can try would be welcomed.

Thanks,

Paul

I recently did a factory reset on my 2 year old C6300 and now I'm experiencing a similar issue.  The 5Ghz SSID seems deactivate, even while devices are connected to it. My firmware before this was v2.01.14, and i thought it still was, till I read your post and realized there was update in the last couple weeks.  I am also on Spectrum ISP with 100mbps service.

This could be a provisioning issue on the ISP side if something is not coded correctly with the modem in there system it could be disabling the wireless might want to check with there internet support department.
