C6300 AC1750 and xfinity 400MBps download plan
does this router support comcast 400Mbps download plan? The specs says up to 680Mbps download? but comcast is saying it only downloads at 384mbps

The ISP is the one who rates it for their service/setup.
Its capable of faster speed depending on how the isp provisions their setup but comcast is correct in their speed rating for their service.
I'd encourage you to look at docsis 3.1 devices as we're seeing isp's lowering the speeds at which point they require 3.1.
so can i use the c6300 for a 400mbps download plan on xfinity?
Can you use it on a 400mbps plan? sure.
Will it get 400mbps? not if xfinity doesn't support 400mbps on that device.
You could use it on a gigabit plan but it won't hit those speeds. its all wha the ISP provisions it for and supports.
