C6300 and C6300V2 modem crash
Summary: It looks like there is a software problem with the modem/router which will crash the system. After the crash, the system will go through an automatic reboot, and ISP reconnect.
Detail: we have a number of LAN devices, including additional routers connected to this modem. When functional, we get great bandwidth performance via our Comcast ISP. At night with low activity, the system remains operational, but during the day it becomes increasingly unstable with multiple active devices. At first I thought the older modem, a C6300, might suffer from a hardware problem. It was just swapped out with a new C6300V2 - which suffers from the same problem.
I have opened a (Netgear Genie) webpage/connection directly to the modem. During normal operation I can observe cable information/statistics, LAN information, settings and more. What is interesting is that when we loose Interconenct connection, the Genie page can no longer access the modem. A quick look at the modem's status lights indicate it is undergoing boot sequence. In other words; the modem (router) likely crashed and is undergoing an automatic reboot.
Both the System Log and Event Log's indicate nothing unusual or reason why it should reboot.
I have disabled the Wireless interface, and it made no difference.
Conclusion: My hunch is that there's some internal software caused memory coruption which results in a system crash. The current firmware V1.03.06 is NOT production ready!

Something to contact NG support and let them know what your seeing.
The 6 series modems are somewhat getting to be older. You may want to check a newer model 7 series modem.
Good Luck.
