C6300 Connecting to DISH Box

My Dish Receiver Box is unable to connect to the Router. The Dish Receiver Box had no issue connecting to my last Router. I am reading that I need to setup the router for DHCP internet connection mode. What do I do to set this up?

      Hello ejgibbs3

So is the Dish receiver connected to the router but unable to use the internet? or is it not connecting at all?

The Netgear C6300 should be connecting through WIFI to my Dish Receiver Box. It is not for some reason. The old router, Linksys WRT54G, was connected, through WIFI.

When I go to my Dish System Set-Up Menu / Installation / Broadband Setup / the connection status is :Not Connected.

When i select RESET CONNECTION, it tries but comes up with nothing.

DISH says I need a WiFi Broadband Connector to plug into the USB port on back of my Dish Receiver. I am puzzled why the Linksys did NOT need this to connect for many years.

Connecting with an Ethernet cord, although possible, would not be practible. Again, the old router connected through WiFi. I would think after selecting RESET CONNECTION on my dish Receiver, it would recognize the NetGear and ask for my password to connect.
