Try not to use so much jargon and abbreviations.
Firmware version is V1.02.19; not that I can change it -- it is a cable modem; the provider determines the version.

yeah, Cable devices unfortunately cannot be upgraded by end-user.
so If I understand your problem, you device was working perfectly and you recently started seeing issues. Is that correct?

Yes, as I clearly stated in my original post, the router was working fine since August and developed an issue with wifi turning off in the last 10 days.
