C6300 WPS process succeeds but no client shown in attached devices

while attempting to attach a dlink camera using WPS the process is done as follows:

I push the softwre button in the wps wizard, then go to the cam and push the client wps button.

The router displays a successful conection and shows the mac address of the camera. When I try to check my attached devices the camera is not in the list. Also downloaded wnetwatcher and it does not appear there either. I need to access the cam to configure a port and port forwarding so I'm at a loss. It does work if I use a cable rather than wireless to connect to the cam configuration page.

  • I did a total reboot of modem/router and all is ok now.

WPS working as it should. Thanks for suggestions

What happens if you connect the camera to the modem using the WiFi SSID and PW?

if I could determin the ip that wps assigned I could try that. I just may have to use  cable on all my cams to setup on wireless

Try to set up the cameras via wired connection with the wireless ssid and PW.
