C6300BD vs iPhone 6S - constantly need to renew DHCP lease
I live in Australia and have recently signed up for Telstra Cable.
They sent me a Netgear C6300BD modem/router. It works great except in one respect. When connecting to the router via Wi-Fi with my iPhone 6S, I am constantly having to renew the DHCP lease, either by disconnecting and reconnecting the Wi-Fi, or by manually selecting "Renew lease" in the iPhone Wi-Fi settings.
The wired connections are working fine and never need to be revisited. The Wi-Fi signal itself is fine and never drops out. What happens is that, despite remaining connected to the Wi-Fi, no data comes though until I renew the DHCP lease. I have to do this about once every minute, which is a bit unsatisfactory. It's as if the router is giving my iPhone one-minute leases.
Any ideas, Brains Trust?

What happens with other wifi clients? If they are OK, and it is only the iPhone that craps out, I would investigate that as the source of the problem.

Hello thomasrussell45
Have you tried to reserve the IP address for the iphones?

Hi Darren. I discovered that one of my other two access points (I am not sure which) was causing the problem. I discovered this by speculatively disabling the other two APs to see what would happen, and lo and behold the problem disappeared.
The flip side is that my Wi-Fi coverage is now significantly reduced, as I am running the whole house off one AP. Eventually, when I have more time to spare, I will bring up the other APs again, one by one, and see what happens. I assume the same thing will happen, in which case I'll tinker with the relevant router settings and try the solution you have suggested (thanks for that).
