C7000 - Strange connection issue with mobile phone on WiFi

Network works normally with all connected devices -- except -- Cell phone appears to connect normally to WiFi but will not download or update apps. Just sits there "downloading." However, same phone ...

I should add that this problem only recently started. When the C7000 was new ( Aug '16) everything worked fine.

Have you tried to add the phones MAC address to the routers allow list?

    Thanks for the reply. I found out today from Mediacom, my cable ISP, that Google's servers are having compatability issues with MediaCom's new hardware which turned up their speed in the last month or so -- specifically with Google Play and one other service I forgot. Who would have thought to suspect that???!!!

     

    That and there is "quite a lot of noise" on my line according to MediaCom tech rep. So service call coming Friday for that, AND that my 200/20Mbps service is only running at 5-10Mbps down and 18 up.
