C7000-100NAS vs CM600

We are about to get Spectrum's "1 Gbps" service and can choose between the C7000-100NAS vs CM600. Speed and Security are key,  which one is better? 

 

Note* I will be putting either modem into passthrough mode as I do not want to use it's WiFi.

 

Current Network:

  • Sophos Firewall (XG 125)
  • Nighthawk X10 (R9000)
  • E6S WiFi Extender (EX8000)
  • Switch (GS116NA)

    both of these wont work for 1Gbps service.

     

    You a DOCSIS 3.1 device and you will end up leasing it or getting it free from spectrum.

     

    to date, Spectrum has not approved any DOCSIS 3.1 retail device.
