I have a c7800 midem/router that is aging. My home is 2,000 sqft, my internet provider is Xfinity and I have their 500gb plan. I have about 20 devices connected to my network. What is a reasonable combo upgrade that will cover my requirements but not break the bank.601Views0likes4CommentsNightHawk CAX 30 NAS100 & NAS200, CAC 30S NAS 100
Hello, Please explain the differences between CAX 30-100 NAS and CAX 30 - 200 NAS and CAX 30S. I am replacing a NG NH C7000 that is over 5 years old. I am job hunting so on a limited budget and am confused as to which of the combo modem routers is best for me. My provider is Comcast and my mbps is 800 but my brother says to get ready for > 1 GBPS and buy a modem router that will last > 5 years. Thank you, MaryAnn1.7KViews0likes3Comments4 numbers are the only LED's that light up after 10 months, support no help
Have used this router for the last 10-12 months and it went out today. Looking at the router, only the 4 numbers are lit and no other LED's. I have tried a factory reset and nothing happens on the device. I saw other posts with this issue but haven't found a resolution yet. Going to try to find another power supply and test that. I have also tried contacting support and was met with an out of warranty reply and that I could create a ticket for a small fee of 99.99 a year. Unbelievable, 3 month warranty for support? What a joke. You bet your behind I'll be buying a router from another company if I can't get it working. This is more of a vent than anything, unless someone knows of a possible fix. Thanks!1.1KViews0likes5CommentsConverting C7800 to mesh
I have a Nighthawk X4S AC3200 Wi-Fi cable modem router which works well but does not have the coverage I need for my house (single story, long, ranch-style). I would like to avoid extenders and convert over to a mesh system. Can this be done with my existing modem/router, or is it best to start over from the ground up? Netgear offers quite a few mesh systems. Are some more suited to my application?Solved1.3KViews0likes3CommentsComCast/XFinity Next Generation ISP FAQ

This past year, I was using the Xfinity XB8 modem which utilized the newer enhanced Xfinity Mid/High-Split spectrum (32x8) allocation in DOCSIS. As advertised saw my upload speed go to over 120 Mbps for Internet access. However, the result was that it caused random pixelation on my TV Cable signal. I then purchased and implemented the Netgear CM2000, and everything is working great, however I am now only obtaining 24 Mbps for upload speed. I am debating whether to try the Netgear CM3000 with the 32x8 capability to see if I can obtain the higher upload speeds without causing pixelation on the Cable TV. Do you know anything about this, as to whether this is an on-going Xfinity issue or a modem issue. Any thoughts if the CM3000 would perform better than the Xfinity XB8 and not create pixelation on my Cable TV signal?3.5KViews0likes13Comments2.4 GHz and 5 GHz blinking on cable modem router
My internet has been dropping, Xfinity came out and their service is working. Xfinity mentioned that the NightHawk AX6 model CAX30s has issues and they were told to direct customers to Netgear. I called Netgear they agreed the issue was their product and they could fix it for me for a $100 service contract that would cover me for 1 year. Basically they were going to wipe out the modem and reset and upgrade it. I’ve only had this modem router for 1-1/2 years and I’ve had a lot of issues with it reconnecting properly after power outages. I can’t believe Netgear won’t reset it for free what a total disappointment. I don’t feel comfortable paying $100 when it’s not something I did or an out dated unit. I’m going to try to reboot it myself. Thoughts or advice?3.3KViews0likes5CommentsNighthawk 2700/CAX30 Only displays "1 2 3 4" lights on after connecting LAN
I recently purchased the Nighthawk 2700/CAX30. Wireless network has worked well. However, I connected my Xbox series X using the LAN port and lost internet connection. Only the "1 2 3 4" lights are on now. I have tried power cycling and factory reset but no other lights will come on. I saw one other thread from July 2023 with this issue, but no solution. Any thoughts or updates? Note: I plan to return the unit tomorrow since it has been less than two weeks from purchase. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Cable-Modems-Gateways/Nighthawk-CAX30-only-quot-1-2-3-4-quot-lights-on/m-p/23254922.5KViews0likes1CommentNighthawk CAX30 only "1 2 3 4" lights on
Just got a brand new Nighthawk CAX30. Plugged it with power cord and coax cable, lights flashed and blinked at first but now only solid " 1 2 3 4" lights are on, not even the power light comes on. Unplugged and plugged back it and no blinking or flashing of the other lights anymore, it just goes straight to those "1 2 3 4" lights being solidly on. Pressing reset button on back didn't work. Pretty PO'ed, this is a $400 router/modem, I'd expect nothing but a premium product at that price point.7KViews3likes4CommentsCM2000 lasts 18 months?
Got this CM2000 in 2021 July now its dead. And thats it? 18 months of use is all we can expect for a $280 Modem. Seriously? Its sits on an ATS spanning two UPS's (APC 5k's) and on lightning arrestor bypass. But yet it dies Not sure if this is a reflection of other flagship products but now I'm weary to redo anything to NetGear.959Views0likes3Comments
