C7000v2 - modem keeps working but router keeps rebooting

I am having a lot of problems with the wireless router component of my C7000v2.  The WiFi connection is lost several times a day for a couple minutes at a time.  The modem itself is fine; the wired connection to my telephone stays online while the wireless router is resetting and taking my WiFi clients off line.  The ISP in Spectrum cable and it says the firmware is up to date.

I’m wondering if there are any things I can try or any way to diagnose.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

The channel does not seem to matter.  I have people around me using 3, 8 and 11, with 3 and 8 being the most powerful outside of my own router signals.  (Using 3 and 8 is no bueno since they overlap with two distinct channels -- whether I use 1, 6 or 11 there will be some issues because of it.)  Acrylic tells me that I have the only 5 GHz network in range, but it goes down with the 2.4 GHz connections.  All wifi clients go offline together.

On occasion the wired connection goes out, too, suggesting a full, spontaneous reboot of the unit.  But it doesn't usually happen; usually only the wifi goes out.

I've heard some say that if there are too many clients a router can get confused (we have about 16).  Not sure if that is worth pursuing.

I would contact NG support and ask about this. The C7000 maybe faulty.
