C7000v2, other network interference
I am a Spectrum customer. I have noticed drastic reduction in speed when other networks appear on my WI-FI Settings page. When they drop off, speed/programming resumes. These intermittent “other” networks are all Spectrum: SpectrumTest-C3, SpectrumSetip-2F, SpectrumSetup-A9, SpectrumSetup-70, etc. Since I am using my own NETGEAR modem, Spectrum can’t help me. They say I need to program my router to only accept certain known network. How do I do this? Any ideas?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? Also try turning down the power output of the RBRs wifi radios from 100% to 50% and see if this changes anything. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
There is no router that can be programmed to accept "known network" configurations.
