C7000v2 resets to factory when Cox does maintenance
My C7000v2 performs a factory reset when Cox does a maintenance outage. This resets everything, requiring me to hard cable into the modem and manually change the SSIDs and passwords. This has happened twice in the past year. Why does this happen? I don't want instructions on how to back up my config... I want to know why this is happening

Something to ask the ISP about. If there doing maintenance then there doing something to the modem. There responsible for the signal up to the modem.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed or something happens.
