I have been running my Nighthawk router/modem for a few years. At the same time, I added an Orbi router with a remote to try and boost the signal. I have heard that leaving the Nighthawk broadcasting on its 5G and other channel can cause complications if all the devices in the house or running off the Orbi.
What is the simplest way to shut off the router part of the Nighthawk to see if this will stop the weird stuff that occurs from time to time. In other words, just use the Nighthawk as a modem only and let it drive the Orbi of course.
Anyone know about this and is it the same if an Orbi is used instead of an Eero?

2 things.
You can use both. Just make sure to have the C7000 on different wifi channels (and different ssid) than the orbi.
And you'd want the orbi in access point mode.
That'd fix the double nat and prevent interference.
Or follow what you're doing and put the c7000 in modem only mode.
that'd work to but you'd lose being able to use the c7000 as a wifi point
