C7100V Xfinity Voice Fax Problem V2.01.40

Hello-  I have a C7100V I have been using in bridge mode since beta testing on the unit.  It was working great for me with XFinity voice.  Last year I sent several faxes with no issue.    I was having trouble sending a fax today so I went to login and was presented with the requirement of changing my password before I could get into the diagnostic screen.   Every attempt I made to reset the password would cause the C7100V to reboot.   Finally, I did a hard reset (with the reset button) and made sure it was in router mode.   

 

Much to my surprise I saw it got new firmware and I was able to send a fax when in router mode.   

 

Later on,  I put it back into bridge mode and tried to send another fax.  I was then getting the 'communication error' message from my fax machine again.   Anybody else have trouble sending fax on XFinity Voice using the C1700V on the V2.01.40 firmware?

        Any Updates From Engineering on this Particular Issue?

         

        Gateway working fine otherwise,  but does have communication error when trying to send faxes in bridge mode,  currently using it in Router mode at the moment, til after RL move, then may resetup into bridge mode with Router possibly, but would like to have Faxes able to work in case needed after our real life move completes
