C7800 slowing/disconnecting
So I bought this C7800 modem/router combo(note to self, Never use combos again) through amazon back in December of 2018.
I have been using it fine for about 8 months when it started showing signs of slowing. A quick reset would set it back to normal but then the next day it would do the same.
The problem became more frequent and later, wired connections would start to slow/disconnect.
I've looked online and tried everything recommended. resets, hard resets, firmware updates/flashbacks.
Contacted my ISP and there were no problems on their end, but they did say that they are receiving a weak signal or no signal from my modem.
So i've tried contacting support, but because its been well over 90 days they won't help me unless I purchase that Gearhead Plan. Now its been over a year since purchase and there is really nothing I can do anymore with this product.
$350 for a modem/router combo that didn't last a year, and customer support that wants to be paid to support you.
I'm just wondering what I can do with this.
Sell it for cheap? Can netgear buy it back and sell it refurbished?
its not like its completely broke so...maybe I can get something out of it?
Maybe sell it on craigslist or something as "like new" and be one of those guys?
a 350 dollar product that didn't last me a year and honestly, I don't care if i have to throw it away. but really...$350?? for this??
There has got to be a better solution to this(doubt it). Other that trashing it or letting it take up space in my storage.

Be sure there are not coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Never had any problems with my C7800...

Do you have a screen snip of your modems connections page? this shows us the connection back to ISP. its rare for them to say the signal is weak. usually they just say it looks good. Potentially you actually need them to come check the line. I have comcast and they charge if the line issue is within the home. I'd recommend moving the C7800 to directly where the coax enters the home. This prevents the wiring within the home from causing the issue.
FURRYe38 had good advice on checking the lines.
