The problem: I need to reboot the device once a week as it begins to slow down dramatically. My normal speed of 500+Mbs drops and stays at ~100 Mbs. A lot of device start failing to connect. Also, Xfinity stopped supporting the device. I suspect I am no longer getting updates.
I would like a recommend of a combo that doesn't have these issues and supports Wi-Fi 6.
Thanks

Without understanding why that happens, who knows what is going on?

Updates for cable modems are in the hands of the Internet service provider (ISP).
In recent years Netgear has released modem/routers where the router bit has separate firmware that it can update. The modem's firmware is still down to the ISP.
Look at the CAX range.
You might like to check to see if Xfinity has a list of compatible modems.
Buying a modem/router means that you have a limited chjoice of router features. Separate devices let you buy a basic modem and then to add a router with as many bells and whistles as you like.

Check the devices on the page that I linked to.
With so many options out there, recommending a replacement could be dangerous.
