Can AC1600 Be Used As Access Point?
Effective this week, my cable subscription at home is paid for by my wife's work and I HAVE to use the modem the cable company provided (it's a modem only). I have an AC1600 router/modem combo and I'm wondering if I can salvage this thing in ANY possible way. I did a lot of searching around here and found out that, as it has no WAN port, it cannot be used as just a router.
Bummer! I love this thing but I won't complain about free internet. My question is, can this be used an access point to extend my existing WiFi range?

"AC1600" is a speed, not a model number. Ever helpful, Netgear
product packaging emphasizes speeds like "ACxxxx", but that's not the
model identifier. I'll assume that you have a R6250.

Oh goodness, haha, my mistake. I have the C6250. Thanks for posting that link!
