Can not reset N300 Model C3000 to factory settings

have never changed factory settings, can't login with user: admin and password: password

 

also cannot reset N300 Model C3000 to factory settings

 

have held the reset button on bottom as described in manual, has no effect.

 

any suggestions?

    If the factory reset is not working might be out of luck no other way to reset the login. If the modem is still under warranty contact netgear phone support see if it can be RMA
