Cannot connect EX6120 with internet (long cable)

I cannot get connection through Ethernet cable with modem.
Despite cable is quite long (about 50m as I had to reach the tavern), it is properly cabled with rj45 connector, in fact if connecting cable with PC, it works.
The problem is when I connect cable with EX6120 and try to set as access point, it doesn’t see any internet connection!

Pls help!

Andre

    1. the EX6120 is a range extender with AP mode. It isn't a router.

    2. if you've got a strict modem (not modem/router combo device), then you need a router.

    3. you can go modem------pc but if you're wanting more devices connected then just 1 pc or wanting to add an extender/AP, then you need to go modem------router-------pc/extender/ap/devices.

    Something needs to control/manage dhcp.

      Thanks for your reply.

I do have a modem/router (see attached photos for reference).

The long cable is with good performance, with timing of 1ms between modem/router and PC in tavern.

The point is: why I had been able to set the EX6120 at living room as Access Point (easily following the instructions), connecting it through short cable to same LAN port of modem/router; but I cannot do same thing from tavern through the long cable?

      Tks & regards.

So to make sure I have it correct,

The device works fine on a short cable.

the device doesn't work fine when you run a longer cable.
